Susanna Danelli

Qualitative Consultant

Born in Milan in 1964, Susanna graduated cum laude in Philosophy – specializing in psychology – at Università degli Studi di Pavia with a thesis on standardizing a long-term memory test. She holds PHD in Psychology with a thesis on the development of logical and creative thinking.

As a qualitative researcher, she started working in 1994 as a freelance in Eurisko (now Gfk-Eurisko) where at the beginning she dealt with different settings of research (mass market, communication, finance, etc.) to specialize later in pharma/healthcare and wellbeing / healthcare.

Then as a internal qualitative researcher in CSD (Cegedim Strategic Data) Italy in 2003, she dealt with all major pathologic areas, both primary and secondary, and the development of new qualitative instruments, techniques and methodologies, becoming Qualitative Research Manager in 2008. In this role she coordinated the qualitative team, being responsible both for training of junior researchers and developing methodologies and client business. After IMS group took over CSD Italy, Susanna decided to come back to freelance activity as a consultant and she landed at SGR Lifecycle in 2017.

She is external professor at UNIMIB where she has been managing the Lab for methodology of qualitative research for over 10 years, she is also tutor for interns and trainees of the course in social psychology and of economic behaviours.

Registered to OPL (Ordine Psicologi Lombardia) since 1993, she added a master in counselling (systemic NLP approach) to her background of psychologist and pharma market researcher.

Susanna is married, mother of a 22 years old daughter, owns a Jack Russel. She loves music and fine food.

Her childhood dream was to be a dancer and it was restructured in adulthood with a 3-year course in Dance therapy (Maria Fux method).
